If your WD drives do not work with Paragon installed, the Paragon software installed for the Seagate drive must be coded to only work with a Seagate drive-what a disastrous hack. Paragon and Tuxera are the primary vendors of such software.

You need to contact Western Digital and find out how to update their third-party software which you installed. To write to that drive from a Mac you must install a third-party utility which Seagate and Wester Digital somehow got you to install. OS X can read that format, but it cannot natively write. If it is formatted as NTFS, that is for a Windows OS.
I was hoping some open may have know if WD had issues similar fix? there is nothing on their website nor their forum. On the other hand is my Seagate external drive, same thing when I purchased it I only used it on my Mac, when I tried to use it on my work windows computer it wouldn't open but kept working on my Mac, it only stopped after i installed El Capitan on my MacAir, however I found a thread where someone recommended a software update link from Seagate with something called "Paragon" specifically to sort the issue of the EL Capitan upgrade. When I purchased it I only used it on my Mac, when I tried to use it on my work windows computer it wouldn't open but kept working on my Mac, it only stopped after i installed El Capitan on my MacAir.
